Ameriška državna medicinska knjižnica (American National Medical Library) je samo v letu 2007 registrirala 364 znanstvenih objav, ki se ukvarjajo predvsem z elektroterapijo za odpravo bolečine, 41 od teh pa se ukvarja posebej z zdravljenjem glavobolov.
